Theatreworks

Palo Alto-based theater company, Theatreworks, was started in 1970, has birthed Tony-award winning plays, often shows productions in the historic and utterly charming Lucie Stern Theater, is a powerhouse of local talent.

They create new plays every year and test them out with live audiences in their New Works Festival—seeing the play read by actors with no props or sets is actually amazing. And then to follow up on the ones you loved and see them the following year WITH the sets and props and choreography—a true wonder!!!

My favorite director there is Jeffrey Lo. His direction of Little Shop of Horrors is what drew me to this theater company and I’ve never looked back!
