Lakes Loop, Golden Gate Park

I start by south lake, walk along the west side of middle lake, cross over to north lake and all the way around it, before looping back along the east side of middle lake.

You never know what you’ll find: I’ve seen bees swarming at a nice safe distance, raccoons swimming across the lake, countless Allen’s hummingbirds, sometimes a sharp shinned hawk or a great horned owl.

An morning walk or an evening walk is ideal, but any time of day will do!
