take the train to Lucern to take the steamship to Rigi

Zurich is small, (well, Switzerland is small!) and the Swiss are known for their engineering. Enjoy it first hand by being timely to a morning train to get to Lucern, take the historic steamboat across the lake to Rigi, a small but beautiful mountain, and take a funicular (vertical train) for a spa day or a hike (or both!) complete with Swiss mountain cows (enjoy the sounds of their cowbells) and views that the Swiss love dearly. Eat lunch at one of the huts! A perfect day.
